Designed by noted architect Guy Lowell, FAIA (1870-1927). Built in 1907-1909, Substantial brick masonry walls, exterior finish in concrete stucco. Roof and all 10 chimneys rebuilt in 2006. Chimneys all finished with lead-coated copper tops. Roof tiles used were sound original plus new tiles made to match by the original manufacturer, Ludowici-Celadon, still in business today and had the original specs from 1907!
